Indian Motorcycle’s A2 offerings…
·
·
Passing your motorcycle test has changed from the days when you were able to simply show you could ride around the block, use your brakes successfully with an emergency stop and you’d pass if you didn’t fall off. And understandably so! Riders should be well equipped to take on a variety of road situations, but it shouldn’t mean they are unable to ride the bike of their dreams.
Now, if you pass your motorcycle test but you’re aged between 19-24, then you’re restricted to ride a bike with a power output of no more than 35kW (47bhp) - but there’s no need to settle for a bike that you don’t really want and blend in with the crowd.
Did you know, you can choose from six Indian Motorcycle machines to ride on your A2 licence?
Let’s take a look at some of the choices below…
A name that goes back a century, the Indian Scout is where heritage-inspired design meets modern performance. It was right back in1920 when Indian Motorcycle released the first Indian Scout - a clean-sheet design and a bold departure from earlier model concepts. This fast, reliable, maneuverable bike enticed many people to start riding and was a runaway success - and still is to this day. Take a look at our Scout history by clicking here.
So what can you choose from? All of them…
Indian Scout
The Scout line-up offers both classically-styled and modernly-mean designs and you’ll get a low seat height and a lightweight frame, making for an easy, confident rider at every speed. Pirelli tyres provide sure-footed grip whatever the road conditions and the cartridge fork front suspension gives a sporty feel while absorbing any bumps the road may throw at you. When it’s time to slow down you’ll have the precise power of floating rotors for improved braking performance and the confidence to use them from the anti-lock braking system (ABS).

The Indian Scout is anchored in history, blending classic styling with modern tech for plenty of performance and comfort. Iconic elements nod to their rich heritage with classic fleet-sided mudguards and the overall lines and form language as the 1920 original. The Scout also comes from the factory with a sport seat and passenger pegs for convenient two-up riding.
Less is more from the Scout Bobber. Slammed stance, low-rise handlebars, chopped mudguards, blacked-out and stripped-down. They’re no-frills and all attitude for the aggressive, low profile look that riders love from the Scout Bobber lineup.
In celebration of the Scout’s 100th birthday, the ‘Twenty’ in Scout Bobber Twenty pays homage to the original 1920 Scout, as do several of the bike’s unique features, including wire wheels and a floating saddle. The Scout Bobber Twenty mixes chrome and blacked-out finishes for a meaner, ‘old school’ bobber style with improved ergonomics from the 10-inch Ape Hanger Handlebars.
And for the aggressive and performance-minded expression of the Iconic Indian Scout, and for riders looking to stand out from the crowd, look to the Scout Rogue. Packed with attitude and edge, Scout Rogue exudes performance, begs for more throttle and is ready for whatever comes its way.
