Also featuring at the moto social was the team from Project Pit Stop welcoming riders from their 86’ Ford pickup. Supported by the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride & Movember, Project Pit Stop is a movement that brings the bike community together for a chat over a brew to raise awareness of mental health as well as testicular and prostate cancer and provides a free mechanic plus a doctor to support man and machine.
With a host of motorcycles on display, 21 test rides were taken during the day as riders checked out the latest models in the range before taking advantage of the complimentary bike cleans from MucOff demonstrating their lineup of motorcycle care products
We couldn't be more pleased with the turnout to our Open Day Event on Saturday 2nd July. We welcomed hundreds of visitors… by far the best turnout we’ve ever had, with hordes of bikes spreading as far as you could see! It was great to see so many new faces, and of course our valued regular customers.
No one worked harder on the day than our fleet of Indian Motorcycle demonstrators, with non-stop test rides all day. The feedback we got, as always, was extremely positive. For those not out in the saddle, there was plenty going on here back at base. Indian Motorcycle UK showcasing the brand new Indian Pursuit, Muc-Off valeting customer bikes, Oslar Coffee providing the most delicious hot drinks, and Project Pit Stop offering valuable advice. As always, the MSR team were on hand, answering everyone’s questions, manning our mega showroom sale and dishing out delicious snacks.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved. An excellent day was had all round and we can’t wait for the next one!
Our most recent Sunday morning breakfast meeting had a distinctly Stateside theme to it. The basic format was the same as usual. Local butcher, Rawlings of Cranleigh, was on hand to serve up a free breakfast to all comers: bacon rolls, sausage rolls or Halloumi rolls. Coffee came courtesy of The Coffee Lady. Alex from Auritech was on hand taking mouldings for earplugs. But a main draw was Indian Motorcycle, who who turned up with a number of bikes, including a wonderful Moore Speed Racing custom creation and the company’s impressive new Pursuit cruiser. The weather was fine, meaning that there was a turnout in the region of about 500 bikes. As ever, it was a short, sharp affair. The early birds were queuing for breakfast at nine; the estate was empty by 12.
