Forged Custom Indian Scout video series
Hosted by Roland Sands, the six-part Forged series highlights how customizers were always in the minds of Indian Motorcycle’s design and engineering teams when developing the all-new Indian Scout. From Roland Sands’ West Coast performance style to Brittney Olsen’s old-school look with a girder front end to Ronna Norén’s New York chopper twist, Forged showcases how the all-new Indian Scout is the perfect canvas for self-expression.

“Some bikes legitimately have soul. You can see evidence of that when you give it to someone to work on, to customise, to put their own love, energy and design into a machine. With this iteration of Scout, I think you’ve seen how different you can make the bike, and how much you can bring your own soul, your own style, your own spirit into the machine. Yeah, Scout’s got soul. That’s what’s up.”

BUILD #2: Brittney Olsen for American country music star, Nikki Lane
Since founding 20th Century Racing, Olsen has been a leading figure within the female riding community. Championing the women of American motorcycling from the early 1940s and 1950s, Olsen’s inspiration for her Forged Scout build came from Cecilia Adams, a woman that Olsen has always admired and hopes to emulate. Olsen's love for vintage American bikes shines through with a girder front end, Flanders bars and extended rear metal fender to echo the look of early Scout models.

BUILD #2: Ronna Norén for legendary Motörhead and Scorpions drummer, Mikkey Dee.
A key design choice for the new Scout platform was a return to a steel tube frame, a much more approachable prospect for customizers than cast or alloy frames. Norén, a highly respected builder from Sweden, took full advantage of the new frame with inspiration from the bikes of Stan Dishong, a very early pioneer of the chopper scene. Focussing in on Dishong’s 1937 Indian Scout drag bike, Norén has cut the Scout’s steel tube frame above the engine fabricating new sections to stretch and raise the front end and bring Dishong’s spirit to life in a 1960s New York chopper style.
